Hamer Hall is in the Southbank Arts Precinct, just across from the Yarra River & CBD. It is a 1982 heritage Listed building by architect Sir Roy Grounds, who also designed the neighbouring National Gallery of Victoria and Arts Centre Melbourne theatres building. ARM Architecture improved the 2564 seat auditorium and made the building more practical for audiences and performers. All of this needed to be done with the upmost care to respect and preserve Hamer’s heritage elements.

Our specialist team were required to design a pad mounted timber floating floor for the area. This solution is critical where isolation of noise and vibration is paramount to ensure optimum acoustic performance.
